You will never guess the things that have happened to me! I was at school all day today, tomorrow I start my first classes, and today I moved in! My Guest parents are of Austro-Hungarian noble families, and we have a chair that belonged to the Crown Prince in the hall. All of the furniture are antiques, and we have to be very careful, as I'm not sure what has been in the family for a long time and what hasn't. I'm scared to death of dropping something on a Persian rug. Anyway, we have a maid/cook who came over from Hungary to work for them, so they'll actually only be speaking to us in German, everyone else will use Hungarian amongst themselves.
But yeah. It's amazing here. The apartment could very well be as big as our house—I'm not certain because I haven't seen the apartment that our host parents live in, I've only seen the rest of it. Two baths, three bedrooms, a dining room, sitting room, kitchen, and then their apartments go along a very long hallway, so it's pretty big. Everything is so expensive looking. But our rooms are the closest to the door, so it's great! Ava, the maid will have breakfast for us at 8:30 every morning, so we'll be forced to get up earlier than we would have otherwise I'm sure. Pretty exciting! Oh, we don't have wireless or the Internet at all, but we do have someone in the area with no password, so we're using it.
Deine Anna

This is what I wake up to every morning. Each day brings a different fruit and place mat, but this is what the breakfast table looks like.

This is one side of my room, and contrary to what you might believe, neither of the maids makes my bed, that's all my doing. Every morning before I go off to school I have to spend 10 minutes tearing everything off and remaking the bed well-enough to pass Tante Hannah's inspection.

The other side of my room. Note the lack of light and the antique furniture.

This is the chair of Crown Prince Rudolf. He was the sole heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne until his tragic suicide with his 17 year old lover so he would not have to go through with the arranged marriage his parents had set up for him.
