Whew! Today has been so tiring after last night-I got up early to go meet many of the other students in my group. We had a rough start, but we did eventually get there, and I was able to visit Seegrotte. It was a mine that closed in 1912 due to an accident, but in 1932 was opened up for tourists, and during WWII the Nazi's took it over as a “hang out” place. Since the accident, it has been the largest underground lake in all of Europe, and a filming location in "The Three Musketeers." Never seen it, but they still had a whole bunch of props left there, just as Kreuzenstein did from "Interview with a Vampire." Apparently I'm not very cultured, as I've never seen any of the movies that I keep hearing about.
After coming back to Vienna I stopped by at the Belvedere Palace with some friends and we walked around the grounds. There happened to be a strike going on at the same time, so the Strassen-Bahn's weren't running due to the police blocks. I ended up having to bushwhack my way through the streets to find an U-bahn.
Upon arriving home I researched possible travel plans, and studied for a test. All in all it's been a pretty tiring day...but hopefully I'll catch up on my sleep tonight and feel better tomorrow.
